Appx vs Classplus Format: Which One Should You Use?
Appx and Classplus expect different table layouts for bulk-imported question banks. Here's how the two formats actually differ, row by row.
Same content, different table shape
Appx and Classplus are two of the most common bulk-import targets for question banks, and the confusion around them almost always comes down to one thing: they expect the same information — question, options, answer, solution, marks — arranged differently in the table.
Appx lays each question out as a two-column table: a label column (Question, Type, Option, Answer, Solution, Positive Marks, Negative Marks) down the left side, and the actual content in a wide column on the right. Every field gets its own row, which makes the file long but very easy to scan and edit by hand afterward.
Classplus's format
Classplus instead marks each option as correct or incorrect directly, rather than pointing to an answer separately — so the table itself encodes which option is right without a separate "Answer" row. Marks are combined into a single row instead of two, which keeps the table shorter but means correct/incorrect flags have to be exactly right on every option, since there's no fallback answer field to cross-check against.
Which one to pick
The honest answer is: whichever one your platform's importer actually expects — check its documentation or a sample file it accepts, rather than guessing. If you're not sure and need to try both, that's not a problem worth re-extracting a whole PDF over: generate the same question set in either layout without paying for the AI-extraction step twice.
